What Houn Hook thinks …
Pale colour and smoky, slightly sulfidic and toasty barrel-influenced aroma, the palate very delicate, restrained, and very drinkable. Very pleasant. There’s a definite ‘cut radish’ note and the finish is clean and dry with a slight grip. Intense and long. A good food style.
Ranked number 4 of 26 2013 Sauvignon Blanc’s tasted from the south west region of WA.

Awarded 96 points by James Halliday.
The trophy won by this wine at Sydney Wine Show ’13 was the outcome of highly skilled contract winemaking, and a vineyard planted in ’00. The palate is particularly intense and complex, new French oak providing the spine for the predominantly citrus flavours to wrap themselves around, leading to the long finish and aftertaste, where slippery acidity provides a prolonged aftertaste.
96 points – 5 glasses – 4 star winery
Outstanding. Wines of the highest quality, often with a distinguished pedigree.
